A Quick note on Schaefer Travelers

Each track is extruded from marine grade, thick walled aluminum. Our thick walled sections
maintain dimensional stability and structural integrity better than thinner designs even when
subjected to bending, twisting or compound curves. Track is black hardcoat anodized for
maximum corrosion resistance and is treated with a teflon impregnation to extend the life of
the coating while reducing friction on the track surface.

Each wheel revolves effortlessly on a compliment of seven ‘captive’ stainless bearings. This cap-
tive wheel design with full radius races distributes bearing loads evenly to a greater surface con-
tact area than other plastic bearing designs to ensure smooth running. Schaefer’s cars can also be
easily removed from the track for inspection or maintenance without loss of bearings. Don’t try
this with other systems unless you have a bucket ready to catch the bearings as they make a run
for your scuppers.

track and control blocks available to boats between 20’ and 30’ with end boom sheeting. With Schaefer, you know
your Traveler is tough enough to withstand the sometimes unpredictable forces placed on your boat.
