Stainless Cleats - Open Base
Schaefer’s new stainless steel open base cleats are a combination of form, function and strength. Using Electropolished
316 stainless steel and incorporating counter sunk holes for flush mount fasteners. Smooth, generous radius edges reduce
line chafe. Large throat allows loops to pass through open base. Recess for bedding to
provide watertight seal. Urethane washers included to keep disimilar metals apart.

Alloy Cleats
These tough aluminum cleats are available in silver or black hardcoat anodized versions with the strength and corrosion
resistance you need for years of reliable service. Strong, yet lightweight aluminum offers an advantage over easily “burned out”
plastic or heavy stainless designs. Our smooth edges protect your lines from chafe and wear and accept large diameter lines that
are easier on tired hands.
Open Base - Helps prevent loose halyards ends from running up the mast. Line ends
can be inserted through the ‘open ‘ base and knotted for an easily grabbed dead end.
